I must confess that my heart sank when I opened the first packet and found that the MDF shelves were no thicker than hardboard, and that the metal uprights were extremely thin and flexible.\n\nOnce I began assembly, however, I started to cheer up - it was just like assembling Meccano (you won't remember this unless you are over 60), but with a bit of tag-folding like my sister would do when, as a child, she fitted cut-out cardboard dresses to flat cardboard dollies.\n\nThe result, however was very good. Once everything is assembled, the racking is strong, and easily held my many boxes of (mostly metal) paraphernalia, collected over the last 35 years. I would strongly recommend this product.
